Dr. Tim Mullins
Pharmacist
Tim graduated from Samford School of Pharmacy (now McWhorter) in 1987 and continued studying there for his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2000. He has enjoyed being a pharmacist, and specifically serving the Bessemer area for the past 27 years. Tim also had the opportunity of working on Samford’s pharmacy school staff placing students into rotation sites to train under “preceptor” pharmacists. In 2008, Tim, along with his wife, Sondra, were blessed with the opportunity to open Hometown Pharmacy Services in Bessemer. Here he is able to serve the community as a pharmacist, as well as working as a preceptor for McWhorter pharmacy students, passing on his love for the profession.
When not at the pharmacy, Tim enjoys fishing with his wife, singing in his church choir, and visiting with his three grown children.
Sondra Mullins
Office Manager
Meet Sondra, our office manager and co-founder of Hometown Pharmacy in Bessemer. With a degree in vocal performance from Samford’s School of Music, Sondra's passion for singing has led her to participate in church ministries and missions.
Her journey with her husband, Tim, has been filled with diverse adventures, from rearing their three wonderful children to establishing and running Twisters Basketball Club, a program that helps kids win college scholarships. Sondra has always enjoyed working alongside her husband, and together they have ventured into new territories.
At Hometown Pharmacy, Sondra has been able to connect with patients and their families, building lasting relationships within the community. When she is not in the office, Sondra values the opportunity to meet and interact with people on a personal level, making each day at the pharmacy an opportunity to connect with others.
